Privacy Notice

Clear project tracking without collecting homeowner contact information.

01

Information the Guide Stores

When a guide is submitted, we may store a project ID, region, project goals, ownership, project-frequency and timeline categories, selected installation method, selected frame material, selected glass base, coating and silver-layer configuration, glass priorities, window quantity, estimated price range, decision fit score, how the guide was used, and limited traffic-source labels such as campaign tags or the referring website hostname.

When a homeowner updates the project, we may also store the project status, reported price and timeline, actual material, glass and installation method, provider type, provider company name, order and installation dates, how much the guide influenced the decision, and a short post-install review covering satisfaction, timeline, unexpected charges, and willingness to recommend the guide.

02

Information We Do Not Request

The project dashboard does not request a homeowner name, street address, phone number, customer number, order number, financing account information, contract number, copy of the contract, or uploaded document. If a provider company name is submitted, the form instructs users to enter the company name only.

03

Project ID Access

The project ID functions as the private access key for one project dashboard. No email account or password is required. Anyone who has the complete project ID may be able to open and update that project, so homeowners should keep it with their project records and share it only with someone they want to have access.

Window Decision Guide™ cannot recover a lost project ID because no homeowner contact information is connected to it. New project IDs use a longer random format, and previously issued project IDs remain valid.

04

How Project Information Is Used

Project information may be used to operate and improve the guide, provide automated price, timeline, and selection feedback, understand aggregate homeowner preferences and outcomes, produce research or public trend reports, measure site performance, and prevent abuse. Authorized Window Decision Guide™ personnel may review individual project records through a separately protected owner dashboard.

Individual project records are not offered to window companies as leads. Provider, price, timeline, and outcome information is self-reported and is not independently verified.

05

Device Storage and Optional Analytics

The guide may store a project ID in the browser so the same device can continue the submission process or reopen the dashboard. Clearing browser storage may remove that shortcut, but the project remains available when the complete ID is entered.

Google Analytics is loaded only after a visitor chooses Allow Analytics. It may collect standard usage information such as pages viewed, device category, general geography, traffic source, guide interactions, and non-identifying selection categories such as region, material, glass, installation, ownership horizon, and project-frequency plan. Project IDs and submitted project records are not sent to analytics. If a visitor chooses Essential Only, Window Decision Guide™ does not load the Google Analytics tag.

The analytics preference can be changed at any time using the controls above. When analytics is disabled, Window Decision Guide™ attempts to remove first-party Google Analytics cookies associated with this site.

06

Feedback, Retention, and Security

Automated feedback compares self-reported information with guide planning ranges and regional logic. It is not a quote, inspection, appraisal, legal opinion, or endorsement of a contractor or product.

The anonymous contact form stores the selected topic, message, submission time, and an optional project ID. It does not request contact information, and messages are visible only in the internal owner dashboard. Do not include personal information or contract documents.

Project and feedback information is retained while it remains useful for the purposes described above and may later be aggregated or deleted. To request correction or deletion, email info@windowdecisionguide.com and include the project ID or anonymous message reference. Access sessions are stored as one-way hashes, login attempts are limited, and reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
